Meet Nina

Nina Mas is a physical therapist and the founder of MasMed Rehab located in Miami, Florida. Dr. Mas earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles in 2020. She proceeded to work for the University of Miami at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, assisting in developing the oncology rehab department. Nina worked with patients receiving stem cell transplantation, undergoing chemotherapy and radiation, and those who developed lymphedema. Dr. Mas was also the lead therapist in outpatient Telehealth services, and a panelist speaker for the Adolescents and Young Adults (AYA) Summit from 2021-2022.

Utilizing her background in the oncology field, Dr. Mas was awarded by the Florida Physical Therapy Association (FPTA) as the recipient of the 2021 Catherine E. Patla Community Awareness Grant for developing a program titled A.C.E.S. (Awareness in Cancer & Education for Survivors) targeting health literacy to optimize quality of life for cancer survivors.

Dr. Mas was born in Hackensack, New Jersey, and raised in Miami, Florida. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and thoroughly enjoys the cultural diversity of her hometown of Miami. Dr. Mas’ personal passions range from sports, as a former Division I collegiate soccer player, to non-profit work through the Nicole E. Mas Foundation in honor of her late sister. Nina thrives in building a true relationship with each patient, with the ultimate goal to provide one-on-one care in treating not simply a diagnosis, but the person as a whole.
